His family is Catholic and she grew up in the Upper East Side in Manhattan. Because of this, her parents were enrolled in the Convent of the Sacred Heart which is a revered religious institution. Music has always been a passion for her. As a little girl, she began to learn how to play piano. At the age of thirteen, her first composition was composed. She's performed at a variety of open mics. Her most favored artists included David Bowie, Madonna and Michael Jackson. After completing high school, she enrolled in the Tisch School of Art at New York University to study music.
